If you know the legend of Penglai-shan, you probably know about the 8-Immortals. Though some who know of the "8", might know nothing about Penglai. Here is presented a beautiful vintage Chinese scroll painting of the "famous 8" crossing the sea. On silk with wood roller-ends. Artist and age unknown to me. Detailed and beautiful, has noticeable spots/stains/marks on painting and some mounting flaw.

Guilin Shan-shui Chinese Scroll Painting - SOLD

Guilin City in Guangxi, in the south of China, is very famous for its beautiful mountains and Lijiang River. Here is a nice Chinese watercolor scroll painting on Xuan paper, Guilin-style. The mounting is quite large and heavy, and has some light staining in the upper portion. Roller-ends are a wood or bamboo material. Artist unknown to me, is likely a contemporary painting, was mounted in traditional style a few years ago. Approx 31" x 73".

Chang Le's Beautiful Bird & Blossoms Chinese Painting

A simple yet very lovely painting. Chang Le is able to make the simple scene come to life. Chinese bird and flower paintings make enjoying art and nature together easy.

Painting is on gold-flecked rice paper and mounted on silk fabric. The mounting fabric color is actually a bit brighter green, more saturated than what the photos show. It makes for a nice bright display of art with just a small amount of space needed. Full size of the piece is approx. 16" x 26".

Age of painting is unknown to me. Was mounted in China in traditional style a few years ago.

Wonderful Chinese Painting Print Wukong in Heavenly Battle

This is a beautiful and impressive Chinese artwork. Yes, it is likely a printing, and a very good one. Though I cannot detect ink droplets, it just seems too sharp and precise and near perfect to be a hand-painted painting. I don't know the age of it, that is, the painting. I had it mounted in China in traditional style a few years ago.

The painted portion is on Xuan. The mounting is silk, of course. The roller-ends appear to be bamboo, but may be made from wood or some other material. The condition overall is excellent, it hangs wonderfully, and draws attention. Quite impressive.

Vintage Chinese Scroll Painting by Wang Yuan Qi

Shown is a vintage Chinese scroll painting by Wang Yuan Qi. It is a classic shan-shui style, painted on Xuan and mounted in silk. Its age is unknown to me. Roller-ends are wood.

Dimensions are approx. 27" x 88", quite large especially in length. Condition is good overall. Being vintage, it has the usual wrinkling/creasing. Spots and staining are very light. In fact it is quite clean. The roller-end material is wood.

Chang Le Classic Chinese Shan-shui Scroll Painting

Here is a beautiful classic Chinese shan-shui watercolor painting by Chang Le. Painted on rice paper and mounted in silk. The size of it including mounting is 19.5" x 44". The condition is excellent. The age of the painting is unknown. It was mounted in traditional style a few years ago.
